nu:legal Deutsches Recht connects Claude to a free database of German law. It holds all federal statutes and regulations and the state law of Bavaria, Brandenburg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony: 12,013 laws in force, with stored versions since June 2019\. It also holds about 640,000 court decisions from 946 courts in full text. Decisions and provisions are linked through about 7.7 million citations. With nine read-only tools Claude can resolve citations, docket numbers and ECLIs to the exact provision or decision, read a provision as it stood on a given date, search statutes and case law, list the decisions that cite a provision, list what a decision cites, and page through a decision by its paragraph numbers (Randnummern). Answers link to the source page on recht.nulegal.eu and state the limits of the corpus, so Claude can say when an answer is not complete. No account, no key and no registration are needed. Statute and decision texts are official works; the curation layer of nu:legal is licensed under CC BY 4.0\. The database is run by Nulegal GmbH, Potsdam, and is listed in the library directory DBIS.
