# OpenApps

> What is listed, ranked, featured and launched in the ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor app stores, crawled every 3 hours, and the tools of the MCP servers their apps link to. Read-only, public, no key.

REST at https://theopenapps.com/v1 (GET; arrays comma-separated. 200: { data, meta } (meta.as_of: the crawl; meta.basis: output path to basis; meta.next_cursor). 400/404/429 (Retry-After)/500: { error: { code, message, param?, allowed?, nearest? } }. cache: an answer stands until the next crawl, MCP probe or UTC day.) MCP (Streamable HTTP) at https://theopenapps.com/mcp. Public reads need no key. Optional: Authorization: Bearer <developer key> or OAuth with catalog:read; OAuth tokens are bound to /mcp or /v1. Account: /account. Discovery: /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server. Limits: 60/60s per address, 600 for hosted clients (ChatGPT-User, Claude-User) and the site.
Every value carries a basis: observed (seen in the store or in a tools/list answer), store_reported (a number the store publishes), derived (computed by OpenApps, e.g. movement or launch dates), proxy (stands in for another quantity, e.g. a repository's GitHub stars), estimate (modelled by OpenApps).
