The Bidit Registry

The Bidit Registry is a public index of online retailers answering two questions a shopper asks before paying the listed price: will this retailer match a lower price, and on what terms, and can I make it an offer instead of paying the sticker price? Every price-match answer is checked by a person against the retailer's own published policy, with the policy page linked. Where nothing has been verified the answer is unknown, never a guess. A retailer is reported as taking offers only when it is live on Bidit, the negotiation engine for online stores. Four read-only tools: will_price_match (yes, no or unknown, with terms, exclusions and how to claim), price_policy (everything verified about a retailer's handling of price), retailers_that_price_match (verified retailers in a country and category), and can_make_offer (yes or not yet, with the offer link). No login is needed. The data is open under CC BY 4.0. Limitations: the Registry reports published policy; it does not negotiate, buy, or check live prices. Coverage is deepest for Australian retailers.
