GovBot Energy Infrastructure

Ideation Lab, Corp

GovBot Energy Infrastructure is a remote, read-only MCP server operated by Ideation Lab, Corp. It requires no account. It reports the energy facilities near a location and the generating capacity of a state or balancing authority from data published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), each result with its EIA dataset, data period and retrieval time. What it returns: - Power plants within a radius of a latitude and longitude from EIA's monthly inventory of operable generators (Forms EIA-860 and EIA-860M): plant name and EIA ID, operator, capacity by energy source and technology, generator status, balancing authority and planned retirements. - Generating capacity by energy source and status for a state or an EIA balancing authority, with the largest plants. - Petroleum refineries, natural gas processing plants, underground natural gas storage fields, bulk petroleum product terminals, ethanol and biodiesel plants and coal mines near a point, with the capacities EIA publishes, from the EIA U.S. Energy Atlas map files (data periods 2017 to 2021). - Major natural gas, crude oil, petroleum product and hydrocarbon gas liquids pipelines crossing a box or a radius, with operator, name and length inside the area (January 2020). Typical use: list the power plants and fuel facilities near a site, or compare the solar, wind and natural gas capacity of a state. How results are qualified: results are public map and survey data at map scale, not engineering, safety, route, interconnection or capacity-availability determinations; pipeline routes are generalized. Transmission lines, substations and service territories are not included. Not affiliated with EIA or any government agency. The server writes nothing.
