GovBot Legislation & Regulations
GovBot Legislation & Regulations is a remote, read-only MCP server operated by Ideation Lab, Corp. It requires no account. It reads public federal legislative and regulatory records live from their publishers, each result with its source and date. What it returns: - Bills: Congress.gov metadata, sponsors, latest action, Congressional Research Service summaries and action history. - Bill provisions: the sections of a bill text version from GovInfo (U.S. Government Publishing Office), with the U.S. Code sections, public laws and regulations each section cites, or one section's full text. - Regulations: eCFR search by text or statute citation, citation lookup, and the text of a CFR section as of a date. - Rulemaking: Federal Register publications and Regulations.gov dockets with dates and comment-period status. Typical use: trace a bill section to the statutes it amends and the CFR sections that implement them, then read both texts side by side. How results are qualified: bill text is not law unless enacted; eCFR is an editorial compilation, not the official edition; publication dates are not effective dates; search results are bounded. The service does not provide legal advice or legal determinations. Not affiliated with Congress or any government agency. The server writes nothing.
