Cohort rank
Cohort rank is an app's position among only the apps in the list at both times compared, so arrivals and departures above it don't count as moves. Over the 24 hours to October 13, 2026, cohort rank shows no movement in all 16 of ChatGPT's ranked lists, against 224 raw position changes.

More from our data
On Claude, 125 listings moved by cohort rank in the top 100 of 89 lists, 52 of them by more than 2 places. That gap is the point: raw rank counts every arrival above an app as a fall, and cohort rank doesn't.
Cohort rank is the default on Movers, Home and Top charts. A real move under cohort rank means the app passed, or was passed by, an app that was already there.
