GPT
A GPT is a custom version of ChatGPT made in the GPT builder, with its own instructions, files and actions; GPTs are not part of ChatGPT's app directory. OpenApps doesn't track GPTs. Our ChatGPT numbers cover the app directory only: 6,611 apps on October 13, 2026, none of them GPTs.

More from our data
If a report counts GPTs and apps together, its totals won't match ours. The table at the top of the glossary sets apps, plugins and GPTs side by side.
