GovBot Disaster History
Ideation Lab, CorpData & Analytics
Prepare a cited disaster history brief, trace public recovery records for a selected disaster, or summarize redacted flood claim records for a county and period. The workflows compare NOAA event narratives with FEMA declaration records, explain which dates and geographies can be compared, and distinguish recovery obligations, damage estimates, claim payments and insurance coverage. Six read-only tools provide the underlying NOAA NCEI Storm Events and FEMA OpenFEMA records. Three skills guide the research into a brief, recovery-record review or qualified county claim summary with source links, dates, missing values and page limits. NOAA flood records cover a held 1996–2025 snapshot; FEMA records are read from public APIs. Event records, declaration areas and claim records have different meanings; a date/place association does not confirm the same incident, and claim records do not count unique properties. Project amounts, obligations, requested funding, damage estimates, payments and coverage are separate measures. Missing records do not establish no disaster or loss. No current warnings, forecasts, property-specific flood-zone, insurance, eligibility, safety, legal or engineering determinations. No sign-in required. Not an official product of or endorsed by any government agency or OpenAI.
