Find freely licensed video you can reuse, with a download link, the licence and ready-to-paste attribution, and get the official steps to export videos you uploaded yourself. Ask "find a freely licensed video of ocean waves", "how do I download my own YouTube videos?" or "what licence is on this Internet Archive film?". Search reads Wikimedia Commons and the Internet Archive. Every hit states the licence the source record gives (CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC0 or public domain) and an attribution line. Internet Archive search results link to the item's download directory; the metadata tool returns a direct file and any caption file the item lists. Commons files are free to reuse under the licence on the file page. An Internet Archive item is included only when its record states a free licence. We do not rip videos: downloading from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, Douyin, Bilibili or Xiaohongshu, or stripping a watermark, breaks those sites' terms. A request for one of those downloads, or for watermark removal, gets that explanation and no file. For your own videos, the export tool gives the official steps from YouTube Help, Instagram Help, TikTok's data-download help page and the X archive settings page. Pexels and Pixabay are searched only when their API keys are configured (stored in the operator vault, never in this service's answers). A YouTube watch link returns public metadata: oEmbed when no YouTube Data API key is configured, or the Data API when one is. Neither path returns a download. Caption files are not downloaded; the Data API may name tracks when it allows that. Nothing you ask is stored. Answers are cached for a few hours and the only lasting record is a daily count of calls per tool.
