Home shelf
A home shelf is a row of apps on the front page of ChatGPT's app directory, and each one shows the top of an existing list rather than a separate pick. On October 13, 2026, all 16 shelves were unbroken 9-app runs of their list.

More from our data
13 start at #1. Productivity (#3), Developer Tools (#4) and Healthcare (#2) start lower, because the top 6 apps of Popular aren't repeated on category shelves. The 144 slots hold 131 distinct apps; Shopify, Canva and Figma appear on 3 shelves each.
To get onto a shelf, climb the list behind it. How to get on a ChatGPT home shelf walks through it.
