Which apps climbed the most this week?
KiasuMiles gained 278 places in ChatGPT's Finance chart, the biggest climb of the week. We compared each store's popularity charts on Oct 28, 2026 with the same charts on Oct 21, down to #100: ChatGPT's 13 category charts, Claude's most popular list, Cursor's top directory and Grok Bot's popular list. A climb is last week's place minus this week's. The 20 biggest:

The top three are three different kinds of app. KiasuMiles compares miles credit cards. Plugin Creator is OpenAI's own app for creating and editing ChatGPT plugins, and it moved from #286 to #28 in Productivity. Steer Astro reads Vedic astrology charts. Only one of the 20, NetSuite, is a Claude connector, and only one, X Money, is on Grok Bot.
Most of these apps climbed from deep in a long chart. ChatGPT's Finance chart lists 784 apps, so #77 is still far from the top. Steer Astro, a Vedic astrology app, is the exception: it went from #251 to #3 in Other, the only app in the 20 that ends the week in a top 10.
How many of the climbers are new apps?
Eight of the 20 biggest climbers launched in September: KiasuMiles, Princess Cruises, Sparki, X Money, Tesseract, Wave by Vento, AI Video Generator and Cloudflare. KiasuMiles launched on Sep 8, Wave by Vento on Sep 10 and Cloudflare's app on Sep 29. A new app starts near the bottom of its chart, so it has the most room to rise. The other 12 launched between Nov 12, 2025 and Aug 25, 2026, or have no launch date in the store.
Travel has 5 of the 20. Princess Cruises finds cruises, Buson sells bus tickets in Brazil, Wave by Vento plans a visit to Wave 2026, Yatra books flights and hotels, and Ouigo France finds Ouigo train tickets. Video tools are the other cluster: Sparki, Tesseract and AI Video Generator all edit or make video in chat.
Five of the 20 work without signing in to another account: KiasuMiles, Princess Cruises, Wave by Vento, DNS Doctor and Ouigo France. You can try those in ChatGPT straight away.
Which apps climbed into a top 10?
48 apps entered a chart's top 10 this week, and 47 of them were on ChatGPT. Most of that happened on Oct 28, when ChatGPT reordered its category charts. Our best ChatGPT apps this week covers that day. OpenAI's own apps make up 12 of the 48.

Five apps entered a top 10 from outside the chart, because they joined it or switched category during the week: GSC Wizard at #2 in Data & Analytics, Flaim Fantasy at #1 in Other, Hevy and Calories Club in Healthcare, and Werify in Communication.
What climbed on Claude, Grok Bot and Cursor?
On Claude, 88 of the top 100 changed place, but only 8 by 5 places or more. NetSuite, Oracle's connector for NetSuite data, rose from #269 to #88, and n8n, which runs your n8n workflows, from #198 to #85. Windsor.ai went from #62 to #42 and Zoom for Claude from #59 to #40. Atlassian MCP, for Jira and Confluence, was Claude's only new top-10 entry, from #20 to #8.
On Grok Bot, X Money climbed from #160 to #27 in the popular list. QuickBooks Online rose from #116 to #83 and Buffer from #90 to #69.
Cursor's top directory barely moved. 13 of its top 100 changed place, none by more than 2.
Who fell?
The biggest falls from a top 20 were all on ChatGPT. Hex dropped from #11 to #68 and InsightfulPipe from #15 to #67, both in Data & Analytics. ImagineArt fell from #20 to #67 in Creativity, and Poker: play, practice, improve from #13 to #46 in Other. Upwork, #2 in Business & Operations a week ago, is now #20. On Claude, context7 fell from #61 to #79.
Method and limits
Each chart is compared with itself a week earlier, from Oct 21 to Oct 28, 2026, in the US. Signed out, we see the top 100 of each chart now. An app's place a week ago can be deeper than that, which is how a climb from #355 shows. When an app sits on more than one chart, the table uses its biggest climb.
A place in a chart is the store's order, not a count of users, and no store publishes installs. A climb from #355 to #77 in a chart of 784 is a bigger move than #11 to #1, but the app at #1 is the one people see. ChatGPT's Oct 28 reorder accounts for most of its top-10 changes, so next week's post will show which of them held.
